Key individual online services for April

As the personal income tax due date of April 15 approaches, take advantage of the services we offer to conduct business at your convenience.

 

Before filing on behalf of your client

  • Review your client's Account Summary to verify the balance of estimated tax payments, extension payments, and payments carried forward from a previous tax year. 
  • View your client’s Form 1099-G for last year’s overpayment amount; you'll improve accuracy and prevent processing delays.
  • Need to request an income tax extension of time to file? File and pay your client's income tax extension in a single submission. 
      

Make a Payment online service

Use Make a Payment to:
 

You can authorize a direct debit from a bank account (free), or use a credit or debit card (convenience fee applies).

 

Have a client who isn't ready to create an account? They can still pay their tax bills directly from their bank account using our Quick Pay application.

 

Schedule or cancel estimated income tax payments

Does your client need to make estimated tax payments for the next tax year? 
 

  • Schedule estimated tax payments up to four quarters in advance using our Make a Payment service.
  • View or cancel scheduled payments, including payments submitted through commercial software.
     

After filing on behalf of your client

Don’t have a Tax Professional account?

It's easier than ever to create one today. You can use:
 

  • your EFIN, or
  • your New York State attorney registration number, or 
  • your New York State certified public accountant (CPA) license number.

Add clients

You can add clients to your account to immediately perform services and view notices on their behalf. To add a client, you will need:
 

  • your client’s signed E-ZRep Form TR-2000,
  • your client’s taxpayer identification number, and
  • one of the following from your client:
    • a filed New York State tax return, or
    • a bill (assessment), or
    • a five-digit PIN (provided by the Tax Department), or
    • confirmation that your client has not yet filed a New York State return.
