Congestion Surcharge Collection Starts 12:01 a.m. February 2, 2019

All persons subject to the surcharge must begin to collect the surcharge from passengers beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019

The New York State Supreme Court lifted a temporary restraining order on congestion surcharge on January 31, 2019. All persons subject to the surcharge must begin to collect the surcharge from passengers beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019.

In addition, all persons responsible for collection and payment of the surcharge on more than one trip in any calendar month must also register with the Department.
