New online

Tax Department’s Certificate of Authority application has a new
user interface that makes registering as a sales tax vendor easier for your
client.
Visit New York Business Express for the Application to
Register for a Sales Tax Certificate of Authority and your client
can log in with their NY.gov Business account.
The
updated application is compatible with ALL internet browsers and is mobile
device friendly. When your client applies, they will receive timely
status update emails. Your client can use their online user dashboard to view
the status of their application and get more information. For tips, see Register as a sales tax vendor.
Employer Compensation Expense Program
The Employer Compensation Expense Program (ECEP)
established a new optional Employer Compensation Expense Tax (ECET) that
employers can elect to pay if they have employees who earn over $40,000
annually in wages and compensation in New York State.
Manage Estimated Tax Payments

- Select your client from Client Summary.
- Select Payments, bills and notices from the Client Services menu, then select View and cancel scheduled payments.
You can also cancel payments up to five business days prior
to the scheduled payment date by phone at 518-485-7884.
Make
a payment for a client’s return or bill
Make a payment for a client’s return or bill. Also, let your clients without Individual Online Services accounts know they can still pay their tax bills using our Quick Pay application (individuals only).
Request an installment payment agreement
If your client is unable to pay their tax bill in full, request an installment
payment agreement. Select Payments, bills and notices from the Client Services menu. Note: Your client must have a valid bank
account within the U.S.
Enhancements to creating a tax professional account

professional online account with your EFIN, New
