Reminder for School Business Officials - School Tax Rates Needed

The following message was sent to school business officials today:

Reminder - Please submit your school tax rates within 7 days of adoption by the school board. Data received after this date may cause delays in STAR and Property Tax Relief credits for eligible taxpayers in your jurisdiction. Thank you for your cooperation.

RPTL 1590(3) also requires that tax billing data files be provided no later than 10 days after the levy. We sent a separate request to school tax bill processors to deliver these files as soon as possible.
