The Office of Real Property Tax Services has scheduled two classroom “Introduction to Farm Appraisal” courses. See our training webpage: http://www.tax.ny.gov/research/property/assess/training/schedule.htm
The two courses are scheduled for:
- Yates County – September 26 – 30, 2016
- Schoharie County - October 17 – October 21, 2016
If you are an assessor who is required to successfully complete the “Introduction to Farm Appraisal” course for Basic Certification OR if you are already a Certified assessor who subsequently became the assessor in a municipality which requires completion of the “Introduction to Farm Appraisal” course (and you haven’t previously completed this course), ORPTS encourages you to sign up for one of these classroom courses.
