These educational webinars will give participants an overview of the fundamentals of downtown revitalization and walk participants through the steps required to renew and restore their downtowns.
The intended audience is municipalities that want to engage in revitalization efforts. This includes those that are ready to apply for the current round of NY Forward or DRI as well as those that are just getting started and want to build capacity at the local level in order to better position themselves for future DRI/NY Forward rounds and other funding opportunities.

Join the NYS Department of State for a live webinar to learn more about Round Eight of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative and the Round Three of the NY Forward program. The overarching goals of the two programs are to revitalize downtowns and reinvigorate local and regional economies by creating a critical mass of vibrant downtown destinations in each region. NY Forward diverges in several aspects to reach and serve the unique needs and characteristics of the State’s smaller and rural communities. The webinar will give updates on this year’s programs, deadlines, and put aside time for frequently asked questions.
Pro-Housing Requirements for DRI Round 8 and NY Forward Round 3

Representatives from HCR will discuss Pro-Housing Communities, and the process for applying. DRI Round 8 and NYF Round 3 awardees are required to be certified prior to award. The webinar will allow potential applicants to ask questions on the process.
Transforming Downtowns with Strong Revitalization Project
