DEC Invites Public Comment About Proposed Deletion of Site on Moriches Rd. and Fifty Acre Rd., Smithtown from the Registry of State Superfund Sites

This link opens a public notice about a proposal to delist the Smithtown Groundwater Contamination site #152175 (Smithtown, Suffolk County) from New York's Registry of Inactive Hazardous Waste Disposal Sites:

DEC is proposing to delist this State Superfund Program site because it has determined that the site no longer presents a threat to public health or the environment. The public notice explains why this determination was made.

DEC will receive public comments about the proposal through June 6, 2025. See the public notice for details.
