DEC Announces Extension of Public Comment Period for Amended Remedy Proposal Related to State Superfund Site on River Rd., Tonawanda

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) previously announced a public comment period on the Amended Record of Decision (AROD) to address contamination related to Operable Unit 02 of the Tonawanda Coke site (#915055), also referred to as ‘Site 109’, located at 3875 River Road, Tonawanda, Erie County. Based on a request received during the comment period, NYSDEC is extending the comment period by an additional 30-days. NYSDEC will now accept written comments about the AROD until April 30, 2024.
