Protecting Poestenkill's Drinking Water & Investigating Emerging Contaminants; Community Availability Session Scheduled

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is committed to keeping the community informed of the progress of the investigation into finding a source of drinking water well contamination in Poestenkill and continues to work with our partners at the State Department of Health and Rensselaer County Department of Health to ensure residents have access to clean water.

DEC has scheduled a community availability session on May 18, from 5 to 8 PM at the Algonquin Middle School Cafeteria to update the community on ongoing efforts to protect drinking water supplies and to discuss the various aspects of the investigation.
