If you are looking to visit some of Western New York’s popular parks, take a ride on the free Saturday bus service, the Parks Adventure Bus. The service began on June 18th, and will run every Saturday through August 6th, with a possible make-up day on Saturday, August 13th. The bus departs from the bus station in downtown Buffalo (181 Ellicott Street). On Saturday, August 6th the Parks Adventure Bus will travel to Evangola State Park, one of over 300 locations on the NYS Birding Trail.

Evangola State Park is an important stopping area for migrating birds and offers a natural sand beach with scenic cliffs of Angola and includes a nature center. The largely wooded park provides excellent habitat for woodpeckers, songbirds, wild turkey, and others. The parkway is an excellent location to view nesting Eastern bluebirds and the nearby marsh is home to waterfowl and herons.
