The Hudson Valley Natural Resource Mapper is an online, interactive mapping tool with over 40 datasets identifying important habitat, water resources, and conservation and recreation lands within the Hudson River Estuary watershed. We will introduce participants to the mapper layout, functions, and data layers and share examples of applications for local conservation, land-use, and watershed planning. We’ll also share our new Conservation Planning website, which serves as a clearinghouse of strategies, publications, tools, and case studies to support local land-use decision makers throughout the estuary watershed. Register now for the webinar. The webinar will be presented by Ingrid Haeckel, Laura Heady, and Nate Nardi-Cyrus, land use specialists with DEC’s Hudson River Estuary Program and Cornell University. For questions about this webinar, please contact Ingrid Haeckel at ingrid.haeckel@dec.ny.gov. Webinar attendees will receive an email confirming attendance, which may be submitted locally for 1.25 hours of municipal planning or zoning board training credit.
