NYS Climate Impact Assessments: Call for Experts and Stakeholders

Dear Colleague,

NYSERDA is launching an ambitious effort to assess how climate change will affect New York's communities, ecosystems, and economy. The New York State Climate Impacts Assessment: Understanding and Preparing for Our Changing Climate, will include updated climate projections, in-depth climate change impacts on New York State, adaptation strategies, and case studies. It is anticipated that this assessment may inform climate choices at all levels of decision making in the state.

To ensure that the process and resulting information reflect the current state of science and New York's unique concerns, NYSERDA is seeking involvement from engaged and knowledgeable people from across the state and its many colleges and universities, communities, peoples, and businesses. Interested individuals can apply to serve in a workgroup or on an advisors' panel. NYSERDA strongly encourages applicants who represent the diversity of New York State.

As a contractor to NYSERDA, Eastern Research Group (ERG) will be responsible for subcontracting with the experts and stakeholders to support the assessment, as well as communications and outreach services to develop and disseminate various end products.

If you or someone you know is interested in helping with this important effort, please respond to the call for experts and stakeholders. The deadline for submitting an application is Wednesday, April 28, 2021

Apply now.

Please share this call widely throughout your networks. If you have any questions, please email NYSERDA: nysclimateimpacts@erg.com.
