NYSDEC Announces Extension of Public Comment Period for Proposed Remedial Action Plan for the Former Gulf Oil Terminal State Superfund Site

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) has prepared a State Superfund Program (SSF) Proposed Remedial Action Plan (PRAP) for a site known as Former Gulf Oil, site ID 130165. This site is located at 1 Industrial Place, Oceanside, Nassau County.

The initial public comment period for the work plan was to end on March 29, 2021.An extension request has been received and the public comment period is being extended. All comments must now be submitted by April 28, 2021.
