The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and Department of Health (DOH) are pleased to join the Town of Hoosick, Village of Hoosick Falls, and the Hoosick Falls Community Participation Work Group at their Oct. 23 meeting to provide updates on our continuing actions to address contamination in the area.

Presentations by state experts will include:

  • Update on the Municipal Water Supply Study report;
  • Site-specific updates on investigations and cleanup plans;
  • Information on the ongoing bio-monitoring program; and
  • The recently announced multi-state health study.

For residents who are not able to attend the Oct. 23 meeting, before and after the meeting, DEC and DOH are hosting availability sessions for the public to meet one-on-one with state experts and ask questions and get information about our ongoing work in the community.
