Lake Placid Ironman - Road, Trailhead, and Parking Area Closure Advisory for July 28, 2019

The Lake Placid Ironman will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2019. Road closures and road restrictions will cause traffic delays on roads in the Lake Placid, Keene, and Wilmington area. Cascade Mountain Trailhead Parking Areas, Pitchoff Mountain Trailhead Parking Areas, and the Cascade Lakes Day Use Area along Route 73 will be closed during the race.

Tips for hikers on race day:

  • Choose alternative hikes outside of the race course.
  • Be aware of cyclists and runners on the road.
  • Plan for travel delays along main roads.
  • Be aware of slow-moving vehicles and spectators.
