Public Outreach: Hazardous Waste Regulations

Notice of Upcoming Public Webinars and Meetings on Amendments Under Consideration to 6 NYCRR Parts 370-374, 376 of the Hazardous Waste Management Regulations

DEC is holding a series of public webinars and public meetings on proposed amendments to the hazardous waste regulations and on other regulatory amendments under consideration.

On June 12, 2019, DEC published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to amend 6 NYCRR Parts 370-374, 376 of the Hazardous Waste Management Regulations to incorporate, as appropriate, (1) federal rules from September 30, 1999 to April 8, 2015; and (2) State-initiated changes, including clarification of language and corrections of errors found in the regulations. This rulemaking is referred to as FedReg5. A public information webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, August 6 at 1 p.m. You must register for the webinar. 

DEC is also conducting public webinars and public meetings on additional amendments under consideration to 6 NYCRR Parts 370-374, 376 of the Hazardous Waste Management Regulations. This rulemaking is referred to as FedReg6. The purpose of the webinars and public meetings is to conduct outreach on federal rules from 2013 to the present; and state-initiated changes that are under consideration. Visit the 'Outreach Information' section on DEC's website for more information, webinar and public meeting dates and registration details. DEC will post additional information on this rulemaking as it develops.
