Better Communities Start At CCLR’s NYS Redevelopment Summit, June 11 and 12 in Albany

NYSDEC is pleased to partner once again with the nonprofit Center for Creative Land Recycling (CCLR) to present the 4th Annual NYS Redevelopment Summit: Pathways to Revitalization, on June 11-12 in Albany. Please see the attached flyer for details and to register:

The Summit offers a unique opportunity to exchange information about the latest environmental, energy and economic policy and program initiatives to support successful, sustainable community revitalization throughout New York State.

Engage with experts, sharpen your skills, share your knowledge and connect with peers for a day and a half of discussion focused on improving communities through the cleanup and beneficial redevelopment of underutilized and contaminated properties. Topic will include:

  • Opportunity Zones: How they work and their potential to spark growth
  • Positioning properties to maximize market appeal
  • Accessing public and private funding
  • Updates from municipalities about what’s new and what’s working in their communities

NYSDEC’s Rick Clarkson and Bill Ottaway will speak about the Environmental Restoration and Brownfield Cleanup Programs, Part 360 Solid Waste regulations around fill materials reuse, and emerging contaminants. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with DEC staff to address your specific questions during event office hours.

Wherever you are in your redevelopment process, you will leave the Summit with actionable information and connections to get your projects to the next phase.

Click here for the registration page and Summit details. Register by April 1 for discounted rates. Other CCLR workshops

We hope to see you in Albany.
