Infrastructure improvementsThe Adventure NY initiative, announced in Governor Cuomo’s 2017 State of the State, is a multi-year outdoor recreation campaign to connect more New York families and visitors to the great outdoors. Since 2017, dozens of projects have been completed to update DEC facilities and lands. Need a new place for your Outdoor Adventures? Summer Fellowship for College Students Available at the Museum on Blue Mountain Lake

Are you looking for a summer fellowship? Adirondack Diversity Solutions and the Adirondack Experience are accepting applications for their inaugural 10-week summer diversity fellowship at the Museum on Blue Mountain Lake. The placement will run from June 2, 2019 - August 10, 2019 and is designed specifically for college students from communities that have been historically underrepresented in arts organizations because of educational and economic disadvantage and ethnic background. The program will host six fellows interested in pursuing museum related careers.

Mobile Market Summit Slated for March 5th and 6th in Buffalo

VegetablesThe Veggie Van Study Team (Team) from the University at Buffalo will hold a Mobile Market Summit on March 5th & 6th in Buffalo. This event will promote the use of mobile markets to bring fresh produce to struggling communities and is open to all participants.

The Veggie Van Study is based at the University at Buffalo and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). Members of the team are currently providing technical assistance to other organizations looking to start mobile produce markets or evaluate their current programs. In 2018, the National Cancer Institute granted the Veggie Van  $3.1 million to expand the Veggie Van model to Northeast and Southeast organizations.
