Request for Water Resources Research Grant Program Applications

The New York State’s higher education community is now accepting applications for the New York State Water Resources Institute /Hudson River Estuary Program 2019 Water Resources Research Grant Program. Approximately $100,000 is available for research, management, and outreach activities related to water resources in New York. Up to $20,000 is available per project. Projects throughout New York are eligible, but we particularly encourage proposals related to the Hudson River Estuary region.

Request for Proposals: River Scenery Guidance and Training

$135,000 is now available to help river shoreline landowners and historic sites manage their lands to conserve natural scenery and river vistas while protecting natural resources and wildlife habitat. Preserving scenic vistas for future generations to enjoy benefits communities along the Hudson River and the state’s growing recreation economy.

Funding to support this work comes from the State's Environmental Protection Fund, and  DEC’s Hudson River Estuary Program, in partnership with the New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission (NEIWPCC), administers it through a Request for Proposals (RFP).

The deadline for proposals is December 14, 2018, at 12 p.m. The RFP and application is available on NEIWPCC’s website. General information about the RFP can be found on the DEC website.
