We All Live in a Watershed Poster ContestDEC and the New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA) are sponsoring a “We All Live in a Watershed” poster contest open to all middle school students. Fourteen winners will have the honor of having their artwork in a calendar that will be distributed across New York State. The deadline for submitting posters is January 11, 2019. Request for Water Resources Research Grant Program ApplicationsApplications are now being accepted from New York State’s higher education community for the New York Water Resources Institute/Hudson River Estuary Program 2019 Water Resources Research Grant Program. Approximately $100,000 is available for research, management and outreach activities related to water resources in New York State. Up to $20,000 is available per project. Projects throughout New York State are eligible, but proposals related to the Hudson River Estuary region are particularly encouraged. Great Lakes Action Agenda Workgroup MeetingsDEC will be hosting a series of meetings for Great Lakes stakeholders to discuss advancing projects and initiatives to achieve the goals of New York’s Great Lakes Action Agenda:
All New York State Great Lakes stakeholders are invited to participate - including environmental organizations, academic institutions, state and federal agencies, local government, individuals and other diverse stakeholder groups (business, health, recreation, planning, etc.).
