NYSDEC Extends Public Comment Period 30 Days to November 19, 2018 About the Proposed Remedy to Address Contamination Related to the Former NuHart Plastic Manufacturing Site, Brooklyn, NY

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) issued a Proposed Plan for the site on September 18, 2018. A public notice which discussed the issuance of the Proposed Plan was provided to those subscribed to the DEC listserv for Kings County. Based on a request from the public, the comment period is being extended 30 days to November 19, 2018.

Comments received during the comment period, as well as oral comments received at the October 4, 2018 public meeting, will be documented and addressed in the Responsiveness Summary section of the Record of Decision, the document which formalizes the selection of the remedy.
