Webinar: NYSERDA-funded Clean Heating and Cooling Campaigns

The Climate Smart Communities webinar series continues in October with a presentation about NYSERDA’s Clean Heating and Cooling Campaign initiative. Speakers will include Scott Smith and Sue Dougherty from NYSERDA.

The Clean Heating and Cooling Community Campaign initiative brings together groups of potential customers so they can obtain discounts for air and ground source heat pumps, biomass heating, and solar heating through aggregated purchases and a simplified procurement process. It is also designed to educate and increase the awareness and knowledge of clean heating and cooling technologies among consumers. On this webinar, you'll learn about the first eight clean heating and cooling communities and the $2 million available for new communities. Proposals are due 10/30/18.

If you plan to attend, please provide your name, email, and community affiliation to the DEC Office of Climate Change at climatechange@dec.ny.gov or 518-402-8448. In the event that we postpone the webinar, respondents will be notified. Registration is recommended but not required.

To join the webinar on October 11th, follow these steps:

1. First, click on this link: https://meetny.webex.com/meetny/onstage/g.php?MTID=ef087ab470b395eae7a6578cfec96b719 (The two recommended browsers are Google Chrome and Microsoft Internet Explorer.)
2. Enter your name and email address.
3. Enter the meeting password: NYSDEC1
4. Click "Join".
5. Audio by phone: Click “Call Me” in the onscreen “Audio Connection” box and enter your phone number to have the system call you. Alternatively, call 1-844-633-8697 and enter the Event Number: 642 588 661, followed by your Attendee ID (which will be displayed on your screen in the Event Info tab) to join the audio portion. (The Attendee ID is recommended but not required.)
6. Audio via computer: To listen via your computer's built-in audio or via VoIP, go to the Audio menu and select "Call Using Computer".

Please join the webinar at least five minutes early to allow yourself time to get connected. Note that you may have to download the WebEx plug-in and/or restart your internet browser to connect to the webinar. This webinar can be accessed using an Android mobile phone, iPhone, iPad, or another computer running a Windows or Mac operating system. WebEx works best when using the following browsers: Google Chrome or Microsoft Internet Explorer.
