Hazardous Waste Reduction Plans Are Due July 1

Reminder: Hazardous Waste Reduction Plan Due Date

Initial Hazardous Waste Reduction Plans (HWRPs), Biennial Updates (BUs) and Annual Status Reports (ASRs) are due no later than July 1, 2018 for the HWRP program. Facilities that generate 25 tons or more per year of certain hazardous wastes, or generators that hold a Part 373 permit, may be subject. Submittal instructions and other program requirements can be found on our website - HWRP guidance.

If you submit yearly and are unsure as to which document you are currently required to submit, please send an e-mail to HW.ReductionPlanning@dec.ny.gov with your facility name and EPA ID #, and we would be happy to let you know.

Please note, it is highly preferred that you send your submittal via e-mail to HW.ReductionPlanning@dec.ny.gov . If you send your submittal via e-mail, you do not need to also submit through the mail.

What’s new in 2018?

We have added fillable pdf forms to our guidance webpage! You may optionally use these forms for your submittals. Please download the form to your PC prior to filling it out. Once completed, attach the form to your e-mail when you submit to HW.ReductionPlanning@dec.ny.gov .
