Black Sea Bass Recreational Fishing Opens June 23rd

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has announced that new recreational fishing regulations for black sea bass are now in effect.

2018 New York State Black Sea Bass Recreational Regulations:

Open Season Possession Limit Minimum Size Limit
June 23 - August 31 3 fish 15 inches
September 1 - December 31 3 fish 15 inches

Please remember before going fishing, you must enroll in the NYS Recreational Marine Fishing Registry.
