How to Comment on the NY Bight Call for Information and Nominations

NY Bight Call Areas

On April 11, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) published a Call for Information and Nominations on the potential for wind energy development in the New York Bight. BOEM seeks public input on the Call Area, including site conditions, resources, and multiple uses in close proximity to, or within, the Call Areas that would be relevant to BOEM's review. They will use the information provided to determine whether and how to proceed with its offshore wind energy leasing process for areas in the New York Bight.

Comments on the Call for Information are due on May 29, 2018. Supporting information can be found at https://www.boem.gov/NY-Bight/.

Comments and other submissions of information may be submitted by either of the following two methods:

  1. Federal eRulemaking Portal: http://www.regulations.gov. In the entry titled "Enter Keyword or ID," enter BOEM- 2018-0004, and then click "search." Follow the instructions to submit public comments and view supporting and related materials.
