Regulated Solid Waste Management Facilities UpdateUnder the revised 6 NYCRR Part 360 Solid Waste Management Facility Regulations, effective November 4, 2017, all facilities holding a registration must apply for a new registration by May 3, 2018. You may need to register with DEC!Among the changes to the Part 364 Waste Transporter regulations that took effect November 4, 2017, the transportation of construction and demolition (C&D) debris is no longer an exempt activity. Part 364 now regulates commercially generated or transported C&D debris, and transporting more than 10 cubic yards of C&D debris in a single shipment requires a Part 364 registration. C&D debris that is both generated and transported by a homeowner is considered residential waste and is not regulated by Part 364. Compost Awareness Week May 6th - May 12th
