Attention Lake Ontario Trout and Salmon Anglers

DEC and the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry request your help with recovering heads from Coho Salmon caught in Lake Ontario beginning in 2018.

Upper Delaware River Fishery Meeting Set For March 13

DEC will be conducting a public meeting on Tuesday, March 13 to discuss plans for upcoming fisheries work on the Upper Delaware system. The meeting will be held at the Hancock High School, 67 Education Lane, Hancock NY from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Additional details of the planned work can be found in the Fisheries Investigation Plan. Questions or comments can be e-mailed to Region 4 fisheries.


Ice Shanty

Ice Shanties Need To Be Removed By March 15

Ice angler are reminded that in accordance with State regulations all ice shanties must be removed from the ice by March 15 to ensure that they do not fall through the ice and become potential navigation hazards. Owners who fail to remove their shanties by this date can be ticketed and fined up to $100.
