Fall 2016 Conservationist for Kids Now Online

Attention Educators:

Conservationist for Kids Fall 2016 cover imageThe Fall 2016 "Young Forests" issue of Conservationist for Kids is now available on our website. This issue introduces students to the concept of natural succession, and discusses forest management techniques to create and improve habitat for wildlife. Highlighted throughout is DEC's Young Forest Initiative.

Teacher packets have finished mailing to public 4th grade classrooms throughout New York State, as of today. If you have not received yours yet, you should receive them soon. If you are a 4th grade teacher not currently on our distribution list, please email us at KidsConservationist@dec.ny.gov so that we can add you.

Conservationist for Kids is also included as an insert in the February, April, and October issues of Conservationist magazine. You can subscribe for the low price of 7 issues for $12 on our website or by calling 1-800-678-6399.
