Have you been looking for inspiration when it comes to new lessons ideas? Each workshop presented in this series comes with an activity guide filled with lesson plans that connect students to nature while meeting your existing education goals. These workshops are open to classroom teachers as well as informal educators, after-school staff, and anyone who works with youth in grades Pre-K through High School through a partnership with DEC's NYC Environmental Education program and Friends of Van Cortlandt Park. Tuesday, August 23 - Forest InvestigationsUse the forest as a window on the world! Enjoy lessons and a guided hike through the woods. Participants receive the Project Learning Tree curriculum guide for preK to 8th grade, full of 96 activities.
