The following links open fact sheets about two contaminated sites being addressed within the Greenpoint Petroleum Remediation Project, located in Brooklyn: BP Terminal #S224082 (Apollo Street, Brooklyn) http://www.dec.ny.gov/data/der/factsheet/s224082update.pdf The BP Terminal fact sheet describes ongoing remediation efforts at the site and the upcoming transfer of operations. The fact sheet also announces a public meeting about the BP Terminal Site to be held by NYSDEC on January 25, 2016 between 5:00pm - 8:00pm at the Greenpoint Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library, 107 Norman Street, Brooklyn, NY 11222. Presentation and Q&A will take place at 6:30pm, and NYSDEC staff will be available before and after to respond to questions and comments. * * * * ExxonMobil Greenpoint Petroleum Remediation Project (EMGPRP) #S224150 http://www.dec.ny.gov/data/der/factsheet/s224150nanfaprop.pdf The EMGPRP fact sheet describes proposals for "no action" and "no further action" for portions of the EMGPRP site. The public is invited to comment about these proposals through February 15, 2016. In addition, NYSDEC has scheduled a public meeting about the EMGPRP Site proposals on January 27, 2016 between 6:00pm - 9:00pm at the Greenpoint Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library, 107 Norman Street, Brooklyn, NY 11222.
