The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is notifying boaters that the Lower Locks on the Saranac Lakes Chain will be operated daily from 10 am to 8 pm. Boaters should plan to use the locks between these hours. The locks are operating electronically but additional repairs are required.
