The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) ACADIS Online Learning Management System (LMS) is currently available to all police and peace officers. Officers now have the ability to access a variety of online training and recorded webinars available through the DCJS Acadis Portal Learning Management System. Successful completion of any of the online content will be automatically posted to the learner’s statewide training record. DCJS will continue to upload new content as it becomes available. To access the training, police and peace officers must create a portal account utilizing the self-signup option from the homepage[1]. A video tutorial, which will walk police and peace officers through the signup process, is available by clicking on or typing the following link into a web browser: Tutorial Video Link. Once the account has been established, police and peace officers will receive an auto-generated email from the Acadis system which will provide login, password and access information. Officers should use their agency designated email, if one exists, when registering. Users will be required to create a new password upon first login. Those individuals currently designated as the agency point of contact for the DCJS Acadis Portal do not need to create a new account and can login by using their existing established credentials.
[1] For verification purposes, law enforcement officers will be required to verify former or current employment, completed and enrolled training as well as certificates of completion. Police and peace officers will be auto enrolled into all online courses, as identified in the Acadis Learning Management System Online Course Catalogue.

All non-custodial peace officers required to receive annual use of force instruction pursuant to CPL §2.30(3) will only be able to complete the MPTC Use of Force and Deadly Physical Force In-Service online training through ACADIS LMS. Correction Officers, who are also required to receive annual use of force instruction, are encouraged to access the MPTC Use of Force for Correction Officers Online Training through ACADIS LMS to streamline the issuance of timely course completion certificates.
However, the weblink previously provided will continue to be available as DCJS evaluates internet access availability to correction officers within a correctional facility.

Agency executives, trainers and academy personnel are encouraged to distribute this memo among personnel to encourage officers to sign up.
All current and future online trainings are available through the Acadis Portal.
