The Kennedy Dells Fitness Trail is Back
The 1.5 mile loop at Kennedy Dells County Park in New City now features fully upgraded fitness stations for stretching, strength and movement. Restored and modernized after strong public interest in keeping the equipment.
Check out the reopened trail and put the equipment to use on your next walk!

County Executive Ed Day and the EMC recognized the five fifth-grade students for their submissions capturing this year’s theme “A Day in the Life of an Animal or Tree Living in Rockland County.”

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day in Rockland County
In observance of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, the Rockland County Office for the Aging hosted an informative workshop focused on empowering older adults through education and planning.
County Executive Ed Day presented a proclamation recognizing June 15, 2026 as World Elder Abuse Awareness Day in Rockland County.
We ask residents to help reduce and report abuse or neglect of older adults by calling the Office for the Aging at 845-364-2110.
Miss New York Comes to Rockland
Miss New York and County Executive Ed Day explored local favorites ahead of the 2026 Miss New York Competition taking place at Rockland Community College this weekend.
