County Executive Ed Day, a retired NYPD Lieutenant-Commander and Baltimore Chief of Detectives, presented a proclamation to the Rockland County Sheriff's Office in recognition of their service and commitment to public safety.

Happy National Nurses Week
We celebrate the Public Health nurses at the Rockland County Department of Health for their dedication in keeping our community safe, healthy, & informed. From clinics and testing, to immunization and community programs, we thank them for their care that makes a tremendous impact in our community.
Office for People with Disabilities Hosts Annual Accessible Fun Day
The County’s 3rd Annual Accessible Fun Day at Rockland Community College welcomed over 800 attendees and featured more than 40 vendors offering inclusive activities, ensuring a day of fun and engagement for all.
Thank you to our county departments and community partners for helping make this event a success.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month
County Executive Ed Day joined with NAMI Rockland (National Alliance on Mental Illness) to recognize May as Mental Health Awareness Month in Rockland County and raise awareness of mental health illness.
NAMI Rockland works to provide support, education and advocacy for people living with mental health challenges.

Paying Tribute to our Fallen Heroes
We commemorated our fallen military at the County's Annual Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony held at The Gulf War Memorial at Haverstraw Bay Park.
Thank you to everyone who attended to honor and pay tribute to our fallen heroes. May we never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice protecting the freedoms we enjoy today.
