Office of Community Development Partners with Habitat for Humanity to Build Home
Habitat for Humanity of Rockland, together with our Rockland County Office of Community Development, held a groundbreaking ceremony for a home that is being built right in the Village of West Haverstraw.
We are proud to be a part of this monumental celebration in Rockland County!
Celebrating Human Rights and Unity in Rockland County
In recognition of Universal Human Rights Month and International Human Rights Day, County Executive Ed Day signed a proclamation declaring December as Universal Human Rights Month in Rockland, reaffirming the County’s longstanding commitment to dignity, equality, and justice for all residents.
The proclamation was presented to the Rockland Human Rights Commission.
To file a complaint regarding human rights issues, residents can call the Human Rights Commission at 845-364-3886.
Tis the Season of Giving
 The Rockland County Office for the Aging is grateful to our community members for donating items including hats, gloves, scarves, socks and blankets to help keep our senior residents warm and cared for this winter.
Blessing of the Creche
Community members gathered and sang along to Christmas songs for the annual blessing of the creche outside the Rockland County Office Building in New City.

Thank you to Chabad of Rockland for hosting a festive Hannukah celebration in front of the County Office Building for residents to come together and enjoy.
Making the Season Brighter for
Children in Need
A heartfelt thank you to our Department of Social Services for collecting toys and clothing for children in our community served by the department. County employees, residents, and local organizations have generously donated items that will help brighten the holiday season for many families.
