County Unveils New Walking Path in New City
The County celebrated the opening of a new walking path that connects Dutch Garden and Morahan-Zebrowski Demarest Kill Park in New City.
Funded entirely by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), this project improves public access, enhances recreational opportunities, and links two of our community's cherished green spaces.

Sheriff's Week in Rockland County

In honor of New York State Sheriff's Week, September 14-20, 2025, Rockland County Executive Ed Day issued a proclamation celebrating the week-long event in Rockland County.
Join us in thanking the hard-working officers of our Rockland County Sheriff's Office for ensuring the safety of our residents.
September 11th Remembrance Ceremony
Rockland County came together at Haverstraw Bay Park to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and pay tribute to the courage and sacrifice shown that day. Thank you to all who joined us. We will never forget.

Fighting Hunger in our Community
During Hunger Action Month, County Executive Ed Day was invited to help bag groceries at ShopRite locations throughout the County to help fight hunger and support the Partners In Caring program that raises funds for local food banks and hunger-relief organizations that serve our community.
Office for the Aging Celebrates 50 Years
Hundreds of Rockland's older adults came out to celebrate the Office for the Aging's 50th anniversary and enjoyed entertainment, activities, food and fun!
This fall, OFA is continuing the celebration by hosting a series of open house events. Call the Office for the Aging at 845-364-2110 to register. All registered participants will receive a Comfort and Care Bag (limited to one per household).

Gold Star Family Recognition Ceremony
The Rockland County Veterans Service Agency held the annual Gold Star Family Recognition Ceremony to honor the families of our fallen service members. Thank you to everyone who came out to support these families in our community.
We will always remember and forever be grateful for our veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice defending our country.
