 The event will bring together housing advocates, agencies, non-profits, and professionals to provide resources, education, and services promoting fair housing to residents. It will also include Fair Housing Workshops in both English and Spanish for attendees from 4:00 to 5:00 PM.

County Executive Day Proclaims February as Black History Month
Rockland County Executive Ed Day officially proclaimed the month of February as Black History Month, celebrating the significant contributions of African Americans to the county, the state, and the nation. Human Rights Commissioner Spencer Chiimbwe presented the proclamation at a film screening of the Renaissance Man at Rockland Community College.
30 Businesses Awarded +$316,000 in Tourism Grants
 County Executive Ed Day and Director of Economic Development and Tourism Jenna Nazario announced a record-breaking $316,000 in tourism grants, awarding funding to 30 organizations dedicated to promoting Rockland County as a premier destination. Details here.
Rockland County Heroes Honored at Annual Buffalo Soldier Award Ceremony
Four local veterans were honored by County Executive Ed Day and Veterans Service Agency Director Susan Branam for their outstanding service during a special ceremony at the Rockland County Fire Training Center.
The 2025 Buffalo Soldiers Award was presented to Army Rev. Raymond Caliman and Alphonso Marshall, and the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Buffalo Soldier Award was presented to Bertis Blanks. Vietnam veteran Charlie Maushardt was also honored with an Honorary Membership Certificate. Learn more here.
NYS Comptroller Recognized for Service to People of Rockland
New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli was the keynote speaker at Rockland Business Association's membership luncheon where he acknowledged the efforts of County Executive Ed Day for digging the County out of a $138 million dollar deficit into a double digit surplus.
On behalf of the County of Rockland, County Executive Day presented Comptroller DiNapoli with a Certificate of Recognition for “going above and beyond in service to the people of Rockland County,” as the Comptroller provided continuous guidance to the administration that helped us Right our Fiscal Ship.
Another Honor for Rockland's Highway Facility

Rockland County’s new Highway Facility has been nominated for its third major award—this time for Large Project of the Year by the National American Public Works Association!
This recognition follows two prestigious Project of the Year awards from the Rockland County Chapter of the NYS Society of Professional Engneers and the NY Metropolitan Chapter of the American Public Works Association.
Winners will be announced this August at the Public Works Expo in Chicago.
