Juan Pablo Mobili Named Rockland County Poet Laureate
Rockland County Executive Ed Day and the Arts Council of Rockland (ACOR) are proud to announce the selection of Juan Pablo Mobili as the Rockland County Poet Laureate for the 2025-2026 term.
As Poet Laureate, Juan will serve as an ambassador for the literary arts, engaging audiences throughout Rockland County and beyond through public readings, civic events, and educational activities. Read more here.
Sheriff's Office Radio Operator Assists Resident with Delivery of Baby
The County extends a huge thank you to Radio Operator Geoffrey Dick for helping assist a mother with the delivery of her baby on January 11th.
We appreciate our Rockland County Sheriff's Office 911/Communications Division for all they do for our residents in times of need.

Visiting with Seniors at Centro de Amigos

Centro de Amigos in Haverstraw enjoyed a visit from County Executive Ed Day and Office for the Aging Director Cheryl Dean Ward.
It’s thanks to the County’s $235,000 resolution through our Office for the Aging that helps support this organization’s social adult day care services for seniors. The County appreciates Centro de Amigos for all it does for our seniors.
Thank You for Donations for our Veterans

The County of Rockland extends our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the recent food drive organized by the John M. Perry Post No. 1044 of the American Legion.
All the food items collected have been donated to the Veterans Food Pantry, run by the Rockland County Veterans Service Agency, to support those who have served our nation.
Thank you to the American Legion and our incredible community for coming together to make this possible. Your generosity will make a significant difference for our Rockland County heroes.
County Executive Unveils Housing Action Loan Opportunity (HALO) Awards
 County Executive Ed Day joined with our County Office of Community Development, County Legislators, and municipal leaders to announce the Housing Action Loan Opportunity Award recipients.
The HALO fund provides direct loans to borrowers in support of the creation or preservation of housing that is attainable to the average Rockland resident, with proceeds from loan repayments flowing back into the funds for future housing opportunities.
