Rockland County Civil Service Exams will be broadened to applicants residing within the states of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut for Open Competitive examinations held in October 2024.
“It is our expectation that expanding our residency requirements outside of Rockland County alone will attract a larger candidate pool, comprised of individuals meeting the minimum qualifications,” said Lori Gruebel, Commissioner of Personnel. “We hope this will positively impact hiring, particularly for some of the more harder to fill vacancies existing among our county and local government employers.”
