During the month of May, the Rockland County Health Department treats catch basins and storm drains to prevent mosquitoes from breeding in standing water inside of these structures?
RCDOH also provides Fathead minnows and free mosquito dunks for closed or unused private swimming pools to control the mosquito population and protect the community from vector-borne diseases.

County Lights Up Blue for Parkinson's
To commemorate World Parkinson's Day, the County of Rockland’s Allison-Parris County Office Building on New Hempstead Rd. in New City is lit blue for the Parkinson’s “Spark the Night” event happening worldwide on April 11th. County Solar Eclipse Viewing Event
The County thanks everyone who attended our Solar Eclipse Viewing event. Our Division of Environmental Resources distributed 500 pairs of glasses for residents to view the event & nearly 1,000 attended the watch party held at Haverstraw Bay Park.

Rockland County Youth Bureau Repair Cafes
Repair Cafés feature volunteer Repair Coaches capable of fixing lamps, digital devices, clothing, frames, small appliances, wooden items, small furniture, toys, and electronics.
