The Nassau County Senior Discount Program
Good for Seniors, Good for Business
Nassau County Comptroller Elaine Phillips launched the Nassau County Senior Discount Program with the goal of securing a break for seniors while helping our local small businesses gain new customers.
In collaboration with the Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce, the Comptroller invited businesses across Nassau County to register for inclusion in a print and online directory of local establishments that offer a senior discount.
The list currently includes more than 450 businesses across the County in 15 categories ranging from automotive and dining out to retail and transportation.

 The businesses offering senior discounts in Nassau County are listed on a user-friendly website, where you can sort by Town or Category, or search by keywords such as eyeglasses, ice cream, massage, sports supplies, hearing aids, toys, plants or jewelry.
 Above are just a few of more than 450 businesses that have signed up to participate in the Nassau County Senior Discount Program.
Whether you need a manicure or an estate planning attorney, a cup of coffee or a real estate agent, there are local businesses that offer discounts to our cherished senior citizens.
For example, Pickleball Prime in Mineola offers a 20% senior discount on court reservations and other programming like open play, clinics and more.

At the Ladew Cat Sanctuary in Oyster Bay, seniors who adopt a senior cat can get free medical care for the pet for life through their Seniors for Seniors program. And if anything happens to the adopter, the cat is welcome to come back to the shelter, easing the two biggest concerns seniors tend to have about adopting a pet.
