Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino yesterday joined the Dutchess County Department of Mental Health, Westchester Medical Center Health Network, and local government and community partners to celebrate the opening of the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence at MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, leading into Mental Health Awareness Month.
Dutchess County invested $3 million in the Center of Excellence, designed to be more than just a medical facility, but a safe, welcoming haven where our neighbors can find compassionate support right in their own backyard. This investment continues the County’s vital work of breaking down barriers, reducing the stigma around mental health, and ensuring that no one has to navigate their toughest moments alone.
