Staggered reservation opening to help improve customer experience
Poughkeepsie… Dutchess County Parks has announced 2026 reservations for pavilions, campsites, kayak slips, boathouse, and other facility rentals will open next month. Due to the popularity of rental facilities, the online reservation system for rentals at Bowdoin, Quiet Cove, and Wilcox Park will open on staggered dates to handle demand and ensure a smooth reservation process for guests and staff alike.
Reservations for the 2026 rental season will open at 9am on the following dates:

Tuesday, January 13th - Bowdoin Park Pavilions

Tuesday, January 20th - Quiet Cove Boathouse and Kayak Slips

Tuesday, January 27th - Wilcox Park Pavilions and Campsites
Dutchess County Parks Director Brian Coons said, “Dutchess County Park facility rentals continue to grow in popularity. To better serve our park guests, we are opening reservations for the 2026 facility rental season earlier to better accommodate families’ planning needs.”
Amenities available for rent at Dutchess County’s Parks include five pavilions, the Maple Knoll Lodge and cabins, and the Ellessdie Chapel at Bowdoin Park in the Town of Poughkeepsie; the boathouse and kayak slip at Quiet Cove Riverfront Park in the Town of Poughkeepsie; and three pavilions, 27 campsites, and Scout Field at Wilcox Memorial Park in the Town of Milan. Organizations looking to schedule park facilities for tournaments such as disc golf, soccer or cross country events, should call the Parks office.
Reservations can be made online at dutchessny.gov/ParksEducation (login required). Some facilities, including Maple Knoll Lodge and Scout Field, are only available by calling the Parks office.
