FREE Older Adults Skills Fair
Learn about part-time employment and volunteer opportunities!
Tomorrow in Hyde Park
Tomorrow is the day! Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino will welcome older adults from throughout the county and connect them with dozens of local businesses and organizations looking for seniors to fill important part-time employment or volunteer opportunities.
The County Executive’s “Putting Your Skills Back to Work” Older Adults Skills Fair will be the place to be tomorrow afternoon if you’re looking to put your experience and expertise to good use through either a part-time job or by giving back to your community as a volunteer. You’re invited to join us for this great event, where you’ll meet neighbors who need you!
A list of businesses and organizations that will be in attendance is now available online.
The skills fair takes place tomorrow, July 10th, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Henry A. Wallace Visitor and Education Center at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library & Museum, located at 4079 Albany Post Road (Route 9) in Hyde Park. Not only will you make connections with vendors who need your skill and know-how, you can also enjoy complimentary light refreshments. Additionally, thanks to the generosity of the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library & Museum, you can tour the museum after the skills fair and learn even more about our nation's longest-serving president who was born right here in Dutchess County!
Whether you're aiming to return to work, put your skills to use in a new setting, or simply meet and engage with others, this event is designed with you in mind. We hope to see you there!
