Dutchess County Department of Health
Helps Parents Plan Ahead for School Vaccines
Plan ahead to make sure your child is ready for a healthy school year, with all required school vaccinations. Contact your child’s doctor to make an appointment to avoid any issues with missing vaccinations that can result in school exclusion.
Our Health Department's Mobile Health Unit (MHU) will be out and about this summer offering health services, including required school vaccines for students. These vaccines are available at our monthly stops as well as our clinic located at the Family Partnership Center in Poughkeepsie. Our clinical team can work with you to see what vaccines your child may be missing.

Those interested in receiving must call our health clinic prior to the event to schedule school vaccines at the mobile unit. The clinic can be reached by calling 845-486-2963 or emailing clinic@dutchessny.gov.
This month, you can receive school vaccines and more at:
• Wednesday, July 16th
2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Northeast Community Center
51 South Center Street, Millerton
• Thursday, July 17th
12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Red Hook Community Center
59 Fisk Street, Red Hook
• Friday, July 25th
5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Center of Compassion
52 Mill Street, Dover
Each event will also have a provider on site to assist with general health needs, other vaccinations, STI screenings, and more. Our Public Health Education Coordinators will be on site to provide crucial health information, such as proper tick removal, hands-only CPR, and Narcan trainings. The team can also help you with connection to further care and insurance navigation.
More information on New York State required school vaccines can be found online. To learn more about the MHU's upcoming schedule visit: dutchessny.gov/MHU.
