Poughkeepsie Repair Café
Saturday, September 7th
Our Division of Solid Waste Management is happy to collaborate with several community partners to offer the Poughkeepsie Repair Café this Saturday at the Environmental Cooperative at the Vassar Barns, 50 Vassar Farm Lane in Poughkeepsie. This free event takes place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and is open to the public. You can learn more at www.repaircafehv.org/poughkeepsie.
The Poughkeepsie Repair Café is a community event where neighbors come together to share their expertise to repair beloved items. When they can’t fix an item, they troubleshoot and provide advice on how an item might be fixed.
The goal is to extend the life of things one cares about, keep things out of landfills, preserve the art of fixing things, promote a circular and sustainable economy, build community and to have fun while doing all this!
