Countless families and children in the American heartland were recently impacted by a series of deadly tornadoes spread across a number of states - all in the middle of the holiday season - and many in our community have asked how they can help those in need.

2021_In the spirit of the season, and knowing Dutchess County residents' renowned history of helping those in need, County Executive Marc Molinaro and local officials across Dutchess County encourage residents who have the means to consider donating toys to these children who have lost so much. The Western Kentucky Toy Drive, for example, is seeking donations of toys, books, electronics, and gift cards for children - from infants to teens. You can learn more about how you can help tornado victims in the midwest, whether its sharing your time, talents, or resources. Particularly during this time of year, any contribution will be greatly appreciated by the families and children affected by this disaster.

We thank our residents for your continued charitable spirit, and we hope you will consider making the holidays bright for children who are facing unimaginable loss.
