Dutchess County Hosts Several Events in Celebration of
"Human Rights Day"
Human Rights Day is this Friday, December 10th. Throughout the week the Dutchess County Commission on Human Rights is hosting, with community partners, several virtual events that all are welcome to attend.
The schedule of events are as follows:
"Bystander Intervention in Public" Training teaching participants how to be effective bystanders in the event of public space harassment.

"True Storytelling from Small Places Close to Home, Stories of Immigration, Identity, and Resilience" online program, explore issues of cultural and national identity, inclusion, and how these play out in our lives, our community, and our nation.

"Hate Crime: What It Is and Is Not" Discussion. The panel will discuss the definition of hate crime, how it affects our community, and how to eliminate such crimes in our area.
