Volunteers Wanted for the Great Rail Trail Clean-up!

Dutchess County Parks is hosting a community clean-up event on the William R. Steinhaus Dutchess Rail Trail on Saturday, May 1st to celebrate "I Love My Park Day." Residents ages 13 and up are invited to volunteer between 9am and noon on Saturday, to help our clean-up efforts and keep our trail beautiful for all to enjoy. Together we can make a difference!

This is a hands-on clean-up event on the Dutchess Rail Trail. Volunteers are asked to please bring rakes, work gloves, snacks and water. Trash bags, trash pickers and work vests will be provided the day of event. Be sure to wear boots and high socks as clean-up may extend into the woods. All volunteers will meet at assigned trailheads by 9am and the program will conclude by noon. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Volunteers can register online, be sure to scroll to the bottom and select the William R. Steinhaus Dutchess Rail Trail project. Call 845-298-4600 with questions.
