Harlem Valley Rail Trail Now Open!

County Executive Marc Molinaro invites you to explore the newest sections of the Harlem Valley Rail Trail that are now open - from Main Street in Millerton to Beilke-State Line Road and from Rudd Pond Road to the Town of Ancram in Columbia County. Outdoor recreationists and park enthusiasts of all ages are invited to come experience the beauty of northeastern Dutchess County. View a map of the open sections and where construction continues.

These new sections are part of an 8-mile extension that, when fully complete, will connect between between Millerton in northeastern Dutchess County and Ancram in southeastern Columbia County. When this full connection is complete, there will be 23 miles of continuous trail from the Wassaic Train Station in Amenia to the Copake Falls area of the Taconic State Park in Columbia County. Watch a brief video tour of the new trail sections
